oh..to be an anthropologie girl

I look at that above picture and find myself envious of a picture. Ok..maybe not completely envious. Afterall I feel ever so blessed in my life and I find much bliss in my family, friends, and you. Yet I can not help but indulge in daydreaming of what it must be like to live the life in these pictures.

Just look at that beautiful image above. Swoon. All I need is my handsome husband opening that back door with my precious little boy running to me with a bouquet of flowers in hand.

But then after a shameful lengthy stare and cleaning up my drool pool, I have come to notice that maybe it is the clothes making me swoon.

Ah...clothes.

Now in my 3rd year of pharmacy school, I have almost forgotten what it is like to shop for clothes...let alone have the time.

So I have made the decision to document my love of fashion within my attempt to live life more beautifully. I guess a good place to start is in the clothes I wear.

I plan joining The Pleated Poppy in "what I wore wednesday" to inspire me to become budget chic.

Sadly as I type this, I have just noticed a small hole in my favorite tank from this summer.

Isn't she pretty? Argh...what is an inspiring Antho girl to do?

Cheers~

i *heart* my uncommon slice of suburbia

I may be exhausted (I started my 1st rotation in pharmacy..and it was a LONG 10 hour day), but I am beaming.

I won my 1st ever ANYTHING!

You heard it right...from grade school bingo to a free coke from McDonald's monopoly. Nada.

But I won a giveaway!

I won a $60 gift certificate to CSN from Kristin at My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia. Kristin is one of those people that I have been blessed to have in my little world for not only home decor eye candy, but for true friendship. She is an amazing. She is always cheering me on in school and in life. Thank you for your inspiration....

Peek into her kitchen....it is sheer bliss to me.

But this great room....is perfection.

Thank you Kristin and thank you to all my friends for making my little corner of the blog world a wonderful place to dream & create beauty.

Cheers~

when you wish upon a star

The Moravian Star Pendant...I swoon every time I see one. I think they create such an ambiance. These little stars also remind me of my travels to the Middle East with my father as part of my graduation present from high school.

Of all the elements I desire for my forever home, this one is at the top of the list. Just look at how a little star can create such drama in all of the rooms below (most of these photos are from my dream home files. If you know of the source, please share).

Everyone loves this image from House Beautiful...and it is the star that does it for me.

Lovely in a bedroom

A pair of them? Even more delightful!

What an enchanting place to study amid the stars.

Any house with this porch would have me at hello.

This hallway reminds me so much of the Mena House in Cairo. They had hallway after hallway of star pendants.

The foyer of one of the homes my father and I toured. I was giddy when I first walked in.

There you have it. One of my all-time favorites. I can already picture that star pendant hanging amid my Farmhouse bed. In fact I have already Polyvored the images for my future master bedroom and it makes my mouth water. Oh my...I am such a hot mess.

This is the closest picture I can find that mirrors the image in my mind.

So now I need one of you to give Mr. B the BIG hint that I want one. It just so happens that Pottery Barn has one. If only my birthday was in July or August!

Cheers~

a nursery for a july baby

I have been lazy on my master bedroom.

It will get done. I am just trying to get my chair perfect and another little issue I am working with.

Actually, I have been completely selfish and have spent most of my break with my little boy or Mr. B. Whether it was an adventure walk with Thurgood or a movie date with Mr. B, I have indulged in my family this break…and have loved every second.

I do though have a delightful room to share with you. I have been helping my dear friends with the nursery for their 1st child due this month. You may remember my little tease here. The soon to be daddy and I spent an entire day just painting and drawing.

So in honor of welcoming July and soon to be Baby M (the sex is going to be a surprise), I want to share the completed room that reflects this new little family to a tee. I think it looks fabulous...but then again after taping and tracing letters (I had to free hand many of them because I am such a perfectionist), I am a tad biased with our work.

The nursery is ready for baby!

Some frames, scrapbook paper, & a paint make delightful art

Dragonflys & a suspended mirror...

The reading nook for mommy & baby

I hope the family is pleased. I know I am. Plus it makes me want to get started on Thurgood's big boy room.

Cheers~

P.S. I want to thank A Whole Lotta Love for awarding me the Beautiful Blogger Award! I am so honored...now I just need to finish some projects and showcase some beauty in order to better live up to the award. :)
