anticipation for 2012

Our lastest project for 2012:

Baby Girl due in May

I thought it would be fitting to post my 1st post of 2012 on the 2nd day..in honor of Baby #2. Hopefully this gives you another hint as to why my posts starting in August were few and far between. :) This Christmas and New Year brought us much anticipation for 2012 and for Thurgood to now share his throne with a princess. It will be an exciting time for us as our little family of 3 welcomes a new baby.
Now for the naming...a project unto itself. :) We have a few in mind, but I am open to suggestions. Afterall when your big brother is named Thurgood, you need a name that is just as distinguished.
Cheers~

  1. Congrats, Megan!! What a fun way to start 2012. I'll keep my eyes open for regal sounding names!!

Gertrude maybe? You could call her Trudy for short... that's freaking adorable!

  6. I still think your middle name would make a beautiful first name! And it is royal!

  9. Congratulations! I am so happy and excited for you! You are so right about her needing an equally distinguished name. It was hard enough to name my own so I won't try and help but I can't wait to see what you name her :)

  10. Congratulations! :) I'm so happy for you! As far as names go...we really like names no one else seems to have...our first son's name was supposed to be original, but it turns out there are a million Trevor's..however our second son is Lincoln, and so far, I've only met two others. :) Our 3rd son was almost 10 pounds at birth so we figured he could handle a big name, so he got Carson Riley Cooper T****. (don't really want to put my last name out there) :) Thurgood is cute and his sister needs a name that will stand up to his...maybe Amelia, Harper, or Audrey. :) That's my two cents worth! lol
Congrats again...have a blessed New Year!

  14. Wow, congratulations! That is so awesome. There are some great suggestions already for the princess's name, but I'm sure you will come up with one incredibly cool and equal to your son's!

  16. Congratulations! That is going to be so much fun! I always wanted a big brother...she will be blessed!
I love the name "Haven", and while it isn't as 'royal' as Thurgood, I think it's equally unique and very charming! I can't wait to see what you name her! :)

  17. Is it possible to be this happy for someone whom I have yet to meet IRL?? Because I am over the moon for you & your family. A darling baby girl!! She will not only be a beauty just like her mama, but she will be loved by parents & a big brother who are radiant both inside & out. I'm so so so very thrilled for you, more than I can ever express, my friend!!

As for names, I'm sure the ones you have in mind will embody true character (Thurgood IS a lot to live up to, haha!). We toyed w/ the names Honor, Violet, Lila, Layla, & Evie (as a first name for Quinn but settled on it as her middle name) . Such a huge decision!
