it is fabulous when it is free

I can not believe it is Wednesday! Having 1 class all day, every day for 6 hours is EXHAUSTING. So please forgive me if you feel neglected....in less than 72 hrs..I have neglected much just to keep my head above the water.

I adore you, my readers..my friends, but as you know I am a student, mom, wife, AND then blogger. Do not for a second believe I take you for granted...I just completely believe in our unconditional friendship.

Wanted to share with you a FREE bench that I got at Kohls. Yes...FREE! My neighbor had some Kohl's cash and GAVE all of it to me. I went there and found this beauty on sale. I have wanted a bench at the end of my bed for quite some time but have found nothing...at least nothing within my price range.

Right now I have a wooden box in there that holds some of Mr. B's special momentos and I used (ok..don't laugh), but my cream popcorn dish (with the wording turned around to the back) that holds a few of my scarves.

The coloring is perfect and I imagine changing the fabric on the seat to go with the finished room.

It is slightly smaller than I would have liked. But does size matter when it is FREE?

As you can see from the pictures..I am back to my "night" shots. Oh well...it gives me an excuse to perfect my skills...my staging..and lighting (which is lacking in these pictures). :)

Hope you still find visiting my little world inspiring. So many of you inspire me beyond words.

Cheers~

  4. Wow...great find....and free is best! I think the size is fine...you could always push it in one direction, and add something else to make it the size you want....an urn, or something. I'm tired...probably not making sense. I'm coming back to blogland too after a nutty but fun week. Trying to gain ground in the house again....buried in laundry and projects, as usual. :)
    Hugs!

  6. Boy do I hear you! Of course I'm not a mom and am not back in school, but life is definitely busy. And it's hard to keep up with the blog, which for some reason, leads to guilt. I've gotten behind with my blog friends and I feel bad about it.

But, this is all supposed to be for fun and if I've learned one thing, it's that all of these blogettes are amazing. Take your time and do what you need to do. When you're ready, we'll be even more excited to see your amazing talent and updates!

That bench is super cute. I cannot wait to see what fabric you choose!! Good luck and take care! I hope this 7 hour class (BLECH) is as manageable and pain free as possible for you!

  9. Who cares about size when it's free (and so chic) indeed! I've been searching for a bench for our bedroom FOR.EV.ER. but no luck (esp. w/ my cheapo budget). Think if we hung out, some of your luck will rub off on me? I'll bring wine.....

And don't you even think for a second that any of us are leaving you. We'll be here waiting w/ anticipation for every post. I have no shame hitting that page refresh button over and over again. I'm THAT addicted, my friend. =]
