in my back pocket

Ever come across a project and think...I MUST do this. This happened to me today and I just had to share the wealth. Over at My Repurposed Life I was browsing current projects by other bloggers and ran across this:

It is perfection...right out of a Williams-Sonoma Home catalog, isn't it?
Starting with a regular wingback chair, a EZ Care slipcover from JCPenney, and some nailhead trim -- Sarah at Three Boys created something so stunning...I was knocked unconscious from falling out of my chair. It is perfectly tailored and there was NO SEWING. Yep...NO SEWING!!! {she also tested the slipcover and its "fixed" position by sitting on it 20 times or so.}

What a FABULOUS project. This is giving my dear Layla chair...a run for her place in my bedroom.

Oh my mind is spinning!! Mark this is definitely a keeper.

Have any projects in your back pocket? I have a PB knockoff I am ancy to do. I think this weekend will be a perfect time to work on it too.

  1. Oh my! What a treat for me! I am so glad you liked it!

  2. Isn't it absolutely incredible!?! I would love to do the same thing to my husband's chair but his is a Lazy Boy recliner that looks like a wingback chair.

    I do have a project I am so going to a button wreath at... umm william-sonoma. Its in a magazine so I'll have to check again but it is so gorgeous.

  3. Absolutely gorgeous!! Between this project and your Santa pillow, I am going to be camping out here for some sneak peaks. :) I always love the creativity and talent you bring to projects. You always wow me!!

  4. What a great idea! Looking forward to your PB knockoff. Have a fantastic Thanksgiving!

  5. I have the same style of chair that my mom gave me and I've been trying to figure out how I was going to reupholester it! THis is perfect. Thanks so much for the post!

Thank you for visiting my little corner of the world. Your comments make my day a little brighter, so know I treasure each one. Thank you!
