thurgood's new night light

I could not help myself...I saw this little tree and new it would be a delight for Thurgood. I picked the tree and let him pick some ornaments {with some mommy guidance of course}.

When I was a little kid, I loved to use my toys and "stage" them. It was not out of the ordinary for me to stage my little pony collection..especially when my parents were having guest over. Oh how I wish I would have taken a picture!

So I could not help myself with Thurgood's toys. I think it adds a cute whimsy to the tree and that perfect childlike quality for a kid's room.

The view Thurgood gets to see at night.

It may not scream Christmas, but it is a cute kid's Christmas vignette. What do you do in your kids' rooms?

Cheers~

{FYI, when I check on Thurgood..I turn off the tree. I am a safety nut.}

  1. I put a tree in Kennedy's room too. And I threw a garland over the window for good measure. She helped me to decorate it, but I sent her to get only ornaments that were pink, gold, or green. Maybe it's a teeensy bit controlling, but it looks so cute and she loves it now!

  2. The staged toys are so cute looking at the tree! And staging your toys when you were a kid...that is hilarious! I have a picture of me with all my dolls in rows "teaching" them. Some of them even have desks. As for Olivia's room...ugh...nothing this year. I'll look forward to next year!

  3. This looks so cute and I love that you staged your stuffed animals as a kid.

    I have too much trouble decorating the downstairs(and trying to keep it clean) I don't decorate at all upstairs for the holiday's. I would love to, but I have just to much on my plate right now, maybe someday.
